๐ 1. Principal Place of Business (PPOB): What Documents Are Accepted?

Any one document listed in Form GST REG-01 will do (e.g., electricity bill, water bill, or property tax receipt).

Originals are not required.
โ๏ธ For Rented Properties:

Upload the rent or lease agreement plus ownership proof of the landlord (e.g., electricity bill).

If the agreement is unregistered, you also need the landlordโs ID proof.

If registered, no ID proof is needed.

If utility bills are in the tenantโs name, they serve as valid proof.

Submit a consent letter, the ownerโs ID, and any one valid ownership document.

Within 7 working days: If the application is complete and passes Aadhaar authentication.

โณ Up to 30 days: If Aadhaar verification fails, the case is flagged as risky, or physical verification is required.

If physical verification is needed:

It must start immediately.

GST officer must upload GPS-tagged photos and a site visit report in Form GST REG-30.

This must be done at least 5 days before the 30-day application deadline.

Only in these 3 cases:

Your GSTIN is suspended or cancelled.
